Jen's Cleaning Service, LLC COVID Safety Protocol

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we have had to change many things in our course of business with Jen's Cleaning Service, LLC. We are learning to adapt to these ever-changing protocols and want to assure you that we are taking every precaution to make your home, office and cottage as disinfected as possible to assist in preventing the spread of Covid-19. Keeping our clients and team members healthy and safe is our first priority.

Additional Safety Training for all Team Members:

We are providing our teams with additional training in the use of masks, gloves and disinfecting products & procedures.

All team members will be wearing disposable gloves that will be changed at each client's location. Home made masks will be cleaned after each day.

Along with the PPE guidelines our team members will be trained on the process of disinfecting high-touch surfaces to help kill germs. Jen's Cleaning Service will be disinfecting all equipment after each location is cleaned.

Team members will report any symptoms and stay home and quarantined for 14 days before returning back to work.

During our cleaning at your location we want you to feel comfortable and safe. If you have special tasks for the team please leave a note in the client folder that we left at your home or call Jen's cleaning to have it added to their check list. (Please note: if significant procedures are requested, please understand that I may have to adjust charges to reflect the extra times and or supplies needed)

When Jen's Cleaning team arrives, we will text client if home to let you know we have arrived & to please unlock doors. We ask that any residents or renters either seclude to one room or to go outside weather permitting. While our team is outside, we will be following PPE and CDC guidelines for disinfecting all equipment that will be coming into your home. All team members will use gloves and masks before entering and will continue to wear for the duration of your cleaning.

Please if anyone in your home or office is sick or presenting possible exposure to please call to reschedule 14 days prior to your scheduled appointment. Together we can stay safe and healthy during these times.

Cottage Protocols:

Perform deep disinfections prior to every arrival. We will disinfect all areas likely to have been touched, including (but not limited to):

  • All handles: doors, cabinets, closets, windows, faucets, etc.
  • Any railings: stair railings, decks, etc.
  • Switches and buttons: lights, remote control, front door lock keypad, garage door opener, etc.
  • Frequently used appliances: microwave, TV, coffee maker, washing machine, etc.
  • Frequently used kitchen items, including supplies under the sink
  • Arms of chairs, sofas, and outside seating
  • Toys, puzzles, playing cards, etc.

For soft/porous surfaces such as carpets, rugs, drapes, couches, etc., remove visible contamination and clean and disinfect with appropriate cleaners.

Clean all dishes and flatware (not just what was previously used) after every checkout and be sure to use any available sanitizing setting when using the dishwasher.

Special care should be taken with bedding, linens, and other soft materials, such as:
  • Make sure all pillows on beds have pillow protectors
  • Use duvet and duvet covers or triple sheeting rather than a plain blanket on top of beds
  • Wash all blankets and comforters after every check out; use commercial laundry or appropriate strength chemicals for home laundry
  • Eliminate all extra pillows and blankets around the home
  • Place extra sheets and/or blankets in a plastic zipper bag with a plastic tie so cleaners know they're already clean and are ready for use

Jen's cleaning will stay safe by opening windows, maintaining physical distance inside the property, having the updated training on products and methods, and disposing of items property. Wash hands properly and stay home if you're not feeling well.

Finally, please understand that this higher standard of cleanliness is the "new normal" and that sessions may take longer, may involve personal protective equipment (PPE) like masks, and methods may change over time for everyone's well-being.

I also request that if you have a specific cleaning solution to be used to have an ample supply of it on hand. I also am requesting that you have an ample supply of hand soap & sanitizer on hand for your rental properties.
